Following your initial assessment, which frequently involves a venous duplex ultrasound scan to identify the cause of the varicose veins, a bespoke varicose vein treatment plan is suggested. The Varicose Vein Specialist will advise you of the most suitable keyhole varicose vein treatment for you and will discuss alternatives as well. You will then be quoted a fixed price depending on what varicose vein treatment is recommended. This includes the follow up with duplex scan .
Very importantly, so that there are no hidden extras, at the British Varicose Centre We aim to treat all the lumpy varicose veins and the main feeding varicose veins, in each leg, in one treatment session. This can all be achieved under local anaesthetic with or without sedation. Despite what other people may tell you, there is no reason whatsoever to stage treatment of the hidden main varicose vein and the visible lumpy varicose veins over multiple sessions. Thread veins are different to varicose veins and these are treated by a number of different treatments most frequently the specialised infra – red guided sclerotherapy. As a guide
